I maintain a small private career guidance practice. I can work with individuals resident in any part of the UK via telephone or videolink. I specialise in career guidance for individuals living (or seeking to live) in rural or remote communities - drawing on my expertise in this area. However I can work with individuals from a range of different communities and with different career dilemmas or questions.
My approach focuses on helping individuals to explore what really matters to them in the working world, and to help them explore and achieve their goals. I take a holistic view, understanding that career choices and wider life choices often go hand in hand, and draw on a range of tools in order to support clients to explore how to meet their career and other needs. Typically I meet clients for one hour at a time, and for a number of sessions, although this can vary according to client needs and priorities.
I am a registered professional with the Career Development Institute, and follow their code of practice. You can find out more about me and the way I work on the 'about me' pages. I am happy to receive enquiries, and offer an initial assessment free of charge to identify what services might be of most benefit to you. Please contact me to discuss your requirements further.
Please note that I focus my practice on helping individuals to make decisions about their career pathways. I can offer some support with job applications, CVs and interview techniques, however this is not the focus of my work, and I will never write a CV or an application for a client (I believe it is much more effective to support clients to write these for themselves and in their own words!)
